Laura Baxter set to sizzle next "Live & Local"!

Inspired by the great Motown artists of the 1960's, Laura Baxter's got soul!

With that said, it was Baxter's performance with Geelong Motown Girlgroup Sweethearts at the Porretta Soul Festival in Italy this year, that caught the attention of original Stax artists Toni Green and the 'Queen of Soul' Betty Harris. Harris was so inspired she invited the girls to support her on her next Australian tour! High praise indeed!

Aside from Sweethearts, this worldly 18-year-old can also be heard playing her own tunes. With maturity and depth, Laura weaves personal experiences into clever lyrics about friendship, grief, traveling abroad, keeping secrets, and graduating from high school. With a raw, intense presence, you can tell she means every word.
